Cash – a prerequisite for freedom

Paying by card is so quick, easy and enjoyable. There are contactless cards and we don’t even have to enter a pin number. Cash is obsolete and we don’t need it. In the future it will disappear completely.

This picture is being painted to us by institutions and the media. Only, as usual, they are missing one detail. The abolition of cash will greatly reduce human freedom.

The elimination of paper banknotes is a step towards imposing a dictatorship. In a world where every payment depends on the banks, whoever controls them becomes all-powerful. Today you can receive money, tomorrow you can’t. Today you have access to your savings, tomorrow you don’t. It will no longer depend on you.

The other trump card of the System is that the absence of cash will help reduce crime. This, of course, is not true because criminals can always trade in other methods of payment. Any “precaution” imposed against the “bad guys” is just an excuse to monitor every thinking person in the world.

But frankly, these counterarguments don’t matter. Here, as always, the issue is one of principle. No person with dignity would agree to live in a world where their payments for jeans and Coke are stored in databases. No one who respects humanity would forbid the Mafia to buy and sell drugs and weapons.

The number of card payments is increasing because of the laziness and ignorance of the people, and the System is using this to pretend that it is not banning cash, but simply that nobody is using it. The aim is to impose total control in the long term. If you value your freedom, pay cash.
