To the warriors who never came to the battlefield

Hello, all you most wonderful creatures and most despicable traitors.

You who carry chaos in your soul but let others sort out your personality. You who see the sunrise before you but willingly turn your gaze to the greyness. You, who asserted yourself at least once… and then let your voice fade into nothingness.

You have all betrayed me. I have seen in you light overshadowing all the meaninglessness of reality, and storms ready to roil the world until they make it beautiful in their own way. You never looked at yoursleves, but were absorbed by your distorted reflections in the blind eyes of the crowd. But I feel no pain from this betrayal, it is not worthy of such. I feel only contempt.

But you also betrayed yourselves. You had built a world of your own, hidden from the others, but you never allowed it to be shone upon by the sun. Instead, you let the leprous hands of the faceless masses topple its towers, drain its lands, and triumph among its ruins. This betrayal must hurt, but are you still capable of feeling pain…?

I will never understand you. You have the whole world at your fingertips and you choose to turn your back on it. For what…?! For meaninglessness, inaction, blending in with the crowd and eternal ordinariness? Or just because for nothingness you dont need to extend your hand.

Greatness or nothingness. Is it really so hard to make this choice?

Yes, they will stomp you. People will instinctively sense your zest for life and try to stifle it with malice and humiliation. They will use your every weakness against you, they will mock everything you love, trying to break you. First they will try to make you like them and reach out to pull you towards their abyss. When you refuse they will try to destroy you, but soon you will all know that their poison is not deadly to you. One day they will no longer say anything to you because nothing you are will exist in their world. And when they see that you are determined to fight, they will crawl into their nests and hide there, because they will see that you already bring life.

Yes, you will be lonely. The illusion that you’re just a little bit stranger will crumble. You will see the transparent wall that separates you from the rest of the world and realize that no force can break it down. You will be scared of how much you don’t exactly belong with your own kind. You will see nothing but lack of understanding in the eyes of others, but you will know that it has always been this way, and you have simply refused to fully acknowledge it. You’ll have to accept that where you are headed, there is no one from your past, and that is just the first price you will have to pay. You will realize that the barrier is actually your beginning and that you are on the right side of it. You will feel pity for the others and despise them for making you feel pity. But later you will connect with people not as bodies but as ideas and realize how much you love them on the next level. And for yourself, you will see that being alone is one of the greatest states of spirit because you are enough for the whole universe.

Yes, you will doubt. You will realize that you are too weak to achieve what you set out to do. You will realize how much you have to surpass yourself to succeed. You will blame yourself because you are not as good as you know you can be. But then you will meet yourself as your own judge, and you will have to bear your own judgment. You will command yourself to overcome your insecurities and start to climb your way up. And one day, after much, much effort, you will realize that you are standing alone on a peak among other peaks and you will say to yourself I am mighty.

Yes, you will be chained. There will come a moment when you will realize that you carry all the power of the universe in your heart, and in the real world you can do nothing. You will stumble into obstacles that are too unnoticeable in your horizon, but the walls will be too close to spread your wings, the ceiling will be too low to lift your head, and those around you will be too weak to bear your gaze. They will put the full weight of their unfulfilled selves on your shoulders and expect that it will keep you in the mud forever. But suddenly you will realize that you can carry your burden, and that you are willing to carry far more than your enemies can give you , the whole world. You will tear down the walls with your wings, you will lift your head above every limit and you will love every difficulty because it has helped you become who you are today.

Yes, they will disappoint you. You will see that not all who can will choose the path to freedom. You will trust everyone out of honor and refuse to accept weakness and lowliness. You will beg and scream in despair until your pride says Enough. You will see all their potential die for years, stifled by their own weakness. You will give it your all to push them up, but one day you will collapse, realizing that this is not a decision you can make for them. But you will become stronger, because you will understand that everyone has to choose to fight for themselves. You will realize what is right and let every weakness crumble to dust, and let every strength grow and create on its own. And one day you will meet a person who has chosen to achieve themselves. And then you will finally have someone worthy to stand beside you.

Yes, you will suffer. You will see everything you love crushed and corrupted. You will watch the rotting hands of the dead caress your shrine, you will hear their lips hiss your hymn, you will see the languid smiles on their faces as they behold your truth, you will sink into their endless emptiness as they smother what you cherish most in their passionless embrace. You will also realize that all those you care about will be your enemies. You will see your values die and realize it is too late to save them. And in the end, those you love will turn their heads away from life, choosing ordinary existence, and your heart will explode in unbearable agony. But then you will look at the sunrise, hear a truthful tone, or your heart will just stop for a moment… And you will realize that beauty can never be destroyed, because it is more powerful than anything else in the world. You will realize that where you cannot save, you will be strong enough to resurrect. And you will see that your love is truer than any delusion made real, and will sustain life in every moment of eternity.

The choice is now. The choice is in every moment until you become worthy of it. And then the path becomes perfectly clear because choice has become your essence.
